Pretty sure for Pakistan applicants its from the date of Biometrics which was the 9th September. Solicitor sent documents (signed for) it was signed by someone at Sheffield on the 8th September. So either way you look at it, it's been 23/24 business days and around 30 days (full month)

So I guess I have another 30 days to go to reach the 60 day mark.

Ksand, kfDancer... I appreciate your time and effort to ease my mind. Really. I'm frustrated for everyone who even has two days in this process.

And yes i paid for 2 applications lol

I really want to send them a string of harsh English cursing. Man, that would feel nice.
Listen to them both and trust me the stress you're going through will ease off. Fire them an email and demand they provide evidence and to chase it up.

I've seen on another forum where someone was refused but absolutely no documentation was provided. Hang in there! Hoping that this gets resolved for you ASAP.

He just likes to believe the best of people and institutions, shouldn't be to bothered by it. Mostly I was just wondering if there was a way he could call without being charged since he's in the UK and won't feel like everything has been tried til he calls

Unfortunately since the application is outside of the UK the only way to get through to anyone is via the contact centre number you have been calling already...

So it goes, he's calling them now. Maybe it'll be a harvest moon miracle and the call will be productive?

I've emailed 2 different email addresses and my husband called the help centre where we were 'Escalated'. I'm sure the emails were sufficient enough for a response, and we've threw away £16 but we both feel better for at least having covered all options. I won't call again, but if we don't receive a quick response, my husband has agreed to involve his MP.

Its just the ridiculousness of it all, you know?

I know that they've screwed up, period, but as to how I have zero indication. That's the frustrating bit of it all. I HATE not knowing things. It's like being in prison and someone stuck the key in the door then right as I was getting excited they laughed in my face and ran off.

So, he called and was told the same thing I was -essentially nothing- and was advised to email ukvi.feedback.usa@vfshelpline.com explaining what we've been told and what's going on.

To his credit, I knew about the complaint email, but not this one, and will be emailing both this evening.

Random Question - For those of you that have recently received decision emails and tracking emails.... is the vignette start date around the same time as these or after ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Our decision was made on the 19th and the vignette started on the 19th! No directions other than it’s start and finish date.

It's 60 business days (12 weeks), not calendar days.  But hopefully they will start to process more swiftly now that they are clearing the backlog.

Alrighty. Hi all , another update from keikis other half regarding the slog.

So straight off the bat i gave way to my frustration and called the useless helpline again. however i noticed something this time that i didnt before. when it asks you if you want to take a survey at the end of the call im convinced it will put you through to a different phone line.

after calling 3 times today and not declining the survey all three times i was put through to someone english.

could be a red herring (random occurance for those of you not heard of that statement before) but anyway, after chatting with them they said a decision has been made on both visa applications  and when i enquired as to when the decision was made they couldnt tell me. however the person on the phone went on to say that once a decision is made on their system usually it wont show up on the tracker for up to 10BD after that as everything is finalised and prepared for courier service. what they will tell you is whether the decision was made within that 10BD period or if you are outside the 10BD.

weve tried emailing and communicating with the MP directly, this seems to be hit and miss depending on what your MP is actually like, ours hasnt done much chasing at all

ive escalated with the phone line 3 times in the past with no response and weve even discussed the idea of talking to the UK Consolate within keikis state (all of you have a UK Consolate in each state.) also raised complaint emails that have been brushed off as non complaints not allowing me to pursue the ombudsman regarding all this.

Currently up to 115BD  and from the time lines ive read on the gov.uk website . 120BD is the absolute ceiling for settlement visas.

Wish i could give you guys more information but thats all ive got

MrBrit

I'm sad that we haven't convinced you to not waste your time or money calling the call centre.  But I'm praying that they gave you accurate information regarding a decision.  Hoping to hear you two have received the "decision made" email ASAP!
