I just spoke with someone who seemed kind of knowledgeable on the subject - she said that since it is an international delivery, you cannot change certain aspects of the delivery, so things like Saturday pickup/delivery. I think that I'm just going to pick a two hour time frame and see if my boss will let me work from home in the morning on Monday.

That's what I was told.

Oh well, was worth a try.

Yeah, I figured it was worth seeing. We deal with UPS a lot at my job and if it's a domestic package, you can do a lot more. Kind of funny that they won't allow it for an international even once it's arrived in the US. Oh well, guess we'll both be waiting until Monday!

Really? That's weird. I got them to hold the package at the UPS depot before it went out for delivery. Since I was no longer living in the address on the return label. Did you call a 1-800 number?

Yup, I called the 1-800 number. The regional hub down the street from me doesn't have customer center hours on Saturdays, so I assume that is the reason. If it were a week day, I don't think it would be an issue.

Great news!

And I hope Southernboy sees this to know that not straightforward doesn't mean refusal.   :D

KFdancer I’m just too cynical having been screwed over many times in my military career that I have little faith in government agencies.....especially when I KNOW we submitted everything needed for this visa. And the fact they give you NO information as to why you’re ‘not straightforward’ only amplifies that cynicism for me. Don’t wish to be but there you go.....apologies for venting (again) lol
