19 business days for us now. Can't help but worry and obsess.

Would someone just mind confirming that the following is the "normal" procedure:

Email from VISAINFO.SHEFO (on the 9th Jan) stating our online application has been received and is being prepared for consideration.

Email from NEYOZVVisaInfo (on the 10th Jan) stating our application has been received by UK Visa's and immigration in New York (???) and is being assembled and prepared for assessment.

We've been confused about the New York e-mail for a while and thought it'd just be best to ask.

Huh... this thread also talks about email from New York...

22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!

If it helps, you are not alone! BD 17 for us and feel like I am on a rollercoaster ride of emotions going from depressed to angry to hopeful almost hourly.

This week seemed kind of quiet here (?), so hopefully the flood gates will open next week.

Someone had this happen over the summer but in the end their visa was processed in Sheffield (if I recall recorrectly).  I'm trying to find it.

Found it.  It was SunshineUSA.

Hi all, I forgot to post last week, but we've had several updates:

On Wednesday the 17th I sent an email to my local MP, and they contacted the Home Office. The Home Office then informed my MP that they had made a decision, and would be sending us the official confirmation email within the next couple of days (a rather suspicious coincidence...). On Monday the 22nd we received the official email, 49 working days after our application arrived in Sheffield, and began the agonising wait for the tracked package, which arrived on the 24th with... an approved visa! Thank God. My wife arrived in the country yesterday, and we're delighted to (finally) be reunited.

Thank you enormously all those on this forum who have been so very helpful, it's really been a wonderful support (and I'm sure I'll be back posting here in a couple of years for the next stage). I wish all those still waiting through this horrible process all the best, and hope that you receive positive decisions soon.

Congratulations mlewis!

Now she’s here, be sure to put her name on all the bills and turn off paperless for everything so that you can meet the correspondence requirements for the next visa.  :)

Awesomeness!  ;0)

Congrats, mlewis!

Could someone remind me what bills to save for the next round? I'm already on Council Tax and the water bill. I can get on Eon and the cable bill. I know there was some advice about four bills from four different sources a year (or something like that) with my name and my husband's name on each one. Thanks!!

Save everything!  You need 6 joint or 12 individual from at least three different sources.

It’s explained further in the form.  :)

Thank you! I've found the relevant pages. You folks have a way of boiling it down to make it easy to understand and simple to do. Appreciate it! :)
