That’s BD 26 been and gone. Such a frustrating process. Still ‘maybe’ tomorrow!!
The decision e-mail will come when you are least expecting it. Then a whole new worry begins while you're waiting for the decision delivery lol. Fun times!!!

That would have drove me nuts! I got my email today, so all is good. Now just have to cross my fingers that it gets done in the 30 business days, we have a trip to Morocco that we booked in September for March 24th, which would give me a 4 day buffer to get to England!

we received our email over two weeks later. granted it was most likely the christmas holidays that stalled it, but still infuriating.

Is there a place to see current stats on how long priority visas are taking currently. I was under the impression that Jan/Feb was faster than Sept/Oct., that is why I waited until now. It would be great to see some numbers that make me feel good.

The only reliable, up-to-date stats are here in this thread, when people post them.

The ones published on the UKVI website are already 2 months out of date and are only for decisions made in December 2017.

Usually Jan/Feb is the fastest time of year and we have already seen January decisions made within 2 weeks, but since last January Sheffield have started processing visas from many more countries and that means thousands more applications to get through each month. So while we can guess at processing times, we really don’t know how it will play out anymore.

Yes I was referring to people that have posted here. I feel like I have stumbled upon posts where people are correlated the last 2 months of processing times. Maybe it was somewhere else. 2 weeks is fantastic, if mine is finished in a month, I'll be over the moon.

Yeah, people were doing that, but it was mostly during the busy summer months when it was taking 2+ months to get a decision for priority and there was a large backlog... so people were getting anxious and started to track all the applications.

Once the backlog was mostly cleared, and people got their visas (and less people were applying), I guess there didn’t seem to be a need to keep tracking them anymore.

The good news is that in January 2018 we did see some of the fastest priority processing times in almost a year, and hopefully that will continue into February :).

Well ours arrived in Sheffield 3rd Jan and had an intended travel date to the UK tomorrow.
We meet all criteria and due diligence was done on here and elsewhere months prior to sending it in. And alas no decision yet. One thing keeps cropping up here regarding applications and that is once they’re there then all bets are off! And they are totally right.

Yes we’re on 26 so 34 BD left .....As I understand it the ‘service standard’ is 60 days priority or non priority.

Yep. Nobody knows what goes on and how long to expect it to take. It could take 3 business days or 30, and there's no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Hopefully it doesn't take the full 60 BD! My mate's that I am staying with are going to be proper sick of me if it takes that long.

Just curious, as myself and 2 others have mid Jan package delivered dates (Jan 10 for me) and we haven’t seen anything, how is this the fastest processing time? I am on week 4 today (BD 21 counting date accepted) and I feel like this is pretty slow compared to the 2-3 bd some people claimed last year. Do they manipulate the stats by randomly fast tracking some? Did we 3 happen to pick the worst week to have our documents received?

What are the dates for the January - Feb people on the website? (Not that I expect you to calculate this) I am just starting to really get anxiety as we are in limbo and friends/family constantly ask why it’s taking so long. Maybe it feels longer when you’re the person living it but I’d love to see actual stats of timelines for the users on here.

Pity party over (sorry) :/

I'm on that pity party train. I better get back to London soon or my friends and family here will get sick of me talking (read: whining/crying) about it.

My biggest fear now is after all this time waiting getting an "application not straight forward" or even WORSE just getting a straight up rejection.

Tomorrow is the day for all of us all to get approvals, I can feel it. (I feel like if I put it out into the world it will have to happen, right?!)
Application submitted: December 25
Biometrics Complete: January 5
Documents sent: January 5 (priority)

Compared to what I saw when I was lingering on the forums back in Aug/Sept/Oct, 30 BD is pretty fast. Some people in the priority que were waiting 60 BD easily. That is why I waited to apply now. But yes, the number one question I am asked, "How long are you in the states for?", my answer, "I don't know, maybe 2-4 months?". It really throws people off, that I don't know. FYI - I immigrated to Australia 4 years ago and so I usually come back once a year for 2-3 weeks, so 2-4 months is mega confusing for them. Also I have found that most people think if you are married that is it for immigration. I keep having to explain that being married just makes it possible to apply for a spouse visa, not an immediate guarantee of one.
