No, but I would include them on your TOR form just in case with approximate value. :) but... Make sure there will be space for them. We don't have the storage for that many shoes and our house is pretty big!

Yes, the spare bedroom may have to become the shoe closet!  :)

Day 10 here! I was thinking about the move and all of a sudden I looked at my closet (American) and noticed that I have 65 pairs of high end shoes (don’t judge me!), which I don’t want to leave behind! Will I get charged at customs for bringing so many with me?

You will not need so many. So try at least to half the amount. Before I moved to Europe, I also had a big shoe collection (unfortunately brought all with me), but I changed it a lot in favor of small hill comfortable shoes because you walk here more than drive. And anyway each year you want to have something new, and some of them are getting out of fashion. So, finally this year, I went to the second-hand shop and just sold them cheaply instead of putting them into the rubbish bin.

I have very few pairs of shoes but I do like expensive shoes though.   ;)

I have a “normal” commute to work with a 15/20 minute drive so I don’t need comfort or weather proof.  But when I did have to do public transport, I would wear comfy shoes and change into nice shoes once I got to the office.  Definitely no need to leave your babies behind!

I still wore weather proof when driving back home, and probably would here. I'm a wuss and don't like cold feet!

I called and spoke with them, they said the website is inaccurate and the weight limit is 70lb total

have you called and got this reply more than once? if so they need to be made aware that false advertising of services is a crime, as it can cause monetary loss to customers who book flights under the assumption of advertised claims.

They sounded pretty concerned once I told them their website had 40kg and said they would be making sure it was corrected. Could be a new change in policy
