I just posted an update too, so happy for her.

Whoops! Must have been typing when you posted that. Yeah, I hope it is a quick turnaround with her passport, too!

Urgent- I need all the advice I can get here.

Got an email today requesting more documents... "The UK Decision Making Centre is currently assessing the application submitted by the above named. We acknowledge that you have submitted various documents in support of your application however due to technical difficulties your documents may not have been scanned correctly. Given this we are unable to conclude the application at this time and we require additional information.

They need bank statements and pay slips, evidence of accommodation, marriage cert., employment letter.

I'm so angry I can't think straight. I sent 1 original and 1 copy of every single document. Is there any way to contact NY to have them track down and scan the correct documents? In my haste to send off the visa I failed to copy the backside of one of the bank statements, and it is a difficult one for my husband to get another copy of.

Also, can I highlight the bits of the bank statements that show where the pay was deposited to help them out??

My next question will be who do I contact to unleash my fury, but let's take care of business first.

She actually just posted in the Facebook group this morning that the refusal was overturned! She emailed the HO and got her MP involved and it's only been two working days so they realized quick they messed up. haha

Oh wow thats great! Yeah a friend of mine contacted our local MP in Belfast to aid pushing his application (this was 2 years ago mind). Will definitely use ours here if we need to. Although the state of our government right now, it may be a waste of time

They rarely help anymore.  Usually they just get the runaround from UKVI as well.  Too many people abused the MP path for non-urgent items and so it got (mostly) shut down.

Ugh, this scanning is such a nightmare.

Send the copies you have.  Why can your husband not get a copy of the back of the bank statement that you don't have a copy of?

No need to highlight.  UKVI do this all day long.  They specifically say not to tamper with the documents.  They know what they are looking for with the deposits.  :)

Thank you both! I've calmed down now and sent what they requested (figured out the tricky bank statement). I did end up sending everything in about 6 separate emails because the files were so big...hope that's ok! Hoping to get a quick turn around since I sent them what they wanted within a few hours, but hopes are definitely not too high haha.

And I will most certainly be filing a complaint! Thanks for the link.

HANG IN THERE EVERYONE!!

Cinderellen6816 - May I ask when you originally sent in your application and documents? I'm just wondering if it was around the same time I did (September 28th). I'd be angry too but, at the same time, I would give anything for them to come back to me and tell me they actually have my stuff and need additional info. At least then I wouldn't think they lost all my materials.

I have no idea, my coworker talked me off the contacting them ledge. This week is our half way mark. I'm still patiently waiting. How about you. Did your docs arrive in the 19th as well?

I’m on the same timeline - my docs arrived in NY on the 20th. Seems like priority processing is averaging 40BD so I’m going to just sit back and wait. I’m figuring it’ll be around 21 January before a decision is made all being well - that’s taking Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day out of the equation. So I’m not going to stress yet - just plan on enjoying the holidays with my family Stateside and look forward to when I can be reunited with my husband and kids.

On the Facebook forum it's about 32wds minimum from Biometrics. I'm thinking to take my docs to work and scan them under each category, just in case I get one of those emails. I will be ready to send.
I'm kinda waiting before I spend that money too. My sister wants us to start packing up my house though. I just dont know if I should.

Also taking into consideration it'll likely be a skeleton crew between Christmas and New Years! I have a countdown on my phone for exactly 30 business days from when my package shows delivered in NY (including the upcoming holidays). If I haven't received anything by then that's when I'll send a follow-up email. No need to waste money on a generic response when you haven't given it enough time, am I right 🤷🏻‍♀️
