I'm starting to feel like the last kid waiting to get picked for the dodge ball team...but as an ILR applicant, I am not entitled to escalate until six months have passed. That puts me at mid-December. Ugh.

Me too! But not panicking (yet). I submitted my online application 4 June and IDV App on 28 August. No word yet. Seeing all these approvals roll in makes me hopeful...but also has me jumping every time I get an email. I feel like the end is in sight, though!

So there's an update on the UKVCAS website here:
https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message-detail?flashmessageId=74833

Highlights:

They claim to be processing applications in date order based on the date of your registration with UKVI - in other  words, based on the date of your online application (not your app submit date). As far as I'm concerned this makes things worse as we registered April 15 and I know there are others on this forum from March as well. So - what's the explanation for our delays?

In this update they also ask those who have already used the app NOT to also book appointments....

And so we wait...!

We had our FLR (M) decision email yesterday. Hurrah!

Had booked a biometrics appointment for next week, out of sheer frustration, but got a email (the day before our decision) from SOPRA to say they'd been asked to cancel it as everything had been submitted online / via app.

Applied FLR(M) 25th May, all docs online
Biometrics on the app 29th Aug
Appointment for biometrics booked for 22nd Oct (cancelled by Sopra on 15th Oct)
Decision 16th October 2020

It doesn't seem like they have any system which can be deduced. Ours was another FLR approved after using the app, so some approvals are coming through for us app users, all be it in a random order.

Does anyone know how they send out the BRP's now?

Is it Royal mail or courier?

Congratulations! I’ve heard courier. I was approved yesterday as well and waiting for my BRP :) from what I have read they are just posting it through the letterbox and not asking for ID and signatures due to COVID.

So there's an update on the UKVCAS website here:

Highlights:

In this update they also ask those who have already used the app NOT to also book appointments....

And so we wait...!

We registered and completed payment etc on April 12th. IDV app on August 23rd. Escalated via the MP on September 28th, he contacted us on October 5th to say he had written to the Home Office. I guess Monday 19th will be 10 working days since that.

To now claim they are "aiming" to work in registration date order when this is patently false ... it's more like reverse date order, which maybe improves their TAT stats.

I'm glad we are seeing IDV app approvals because frankly I was starting to suspect there was some fundamental issue with those, but can they please just stop lying. It's a shambles, I feel like we should have booked an appointment as that seems to be an advance indication of a decision when they cancel it!

Lastly, why on earth did they not designate UKVCAS as key workers at the start of all this? I'm a key worker, so is my husband (the applicant), we have worked our normal jobs all through this despite the risk.

Absolutely agree with you. Now I don't begrudge anyone here their approval, but I do not like being told something that is just plain false. Do they think we don't communicate with each other or that we are stupid? It would be nice if they could just be more transparent.
