So there's an update on the UKVCAS website here:
https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message-detail?flashmessageId=74833 [nofollow]
Highlights:
They claim to be processing applications in date order based on the date of your registration with UKVI - in other words, based on the date of your online application (not your app submit date). As far as I'm concerned this makes things worse as we registered April 15 and I know there are others on this forum from March as well. So - what's the explanation for our delays?
In this update they also ask those who have already used the app NOT to also book appointments....
And so we wait...!
We registered and completed payment etc on April 12th. IDV app on August 23rd. Escalated via the MP on September 28th, he contacted us on October 5th to say he had written to the Home Office. I guess Monday 19th will be 10 working days since that.
To now claim they are "aiming" to work in registration date order when this is patently false ... it's more like reverse date order, which maybe improves their TAT stats.
I'm glad we are seeing IDV app approvals because frankly I was starting to suspect there was some fundamental issue with those, but can they please just stop lying. It's a shambles, I feel like we should have booked an appointment as that seems to be an advance indication of a decision when they cancel it!
Lastly, why on earth did they not designate UKVCAS as key workers at the start of all this? I'm a key worker, so is my husband (the applicant), we have worked our normal jobs all through this despite the risk.
