UP (or maybe just P): I get to see my mom and dad tomorrow after a year away! And DH is coming with me this time.

IA: I started coughing like crazy yesterday, and wound up coughing half the night. I feel really awful. :( Why does this always seem to happen?
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

UP: Our post-exam interviews have been cancelled today because of the snow (yay - don't have to go into work) and I just got my exam results by text... I passed both the theory and the practical exams (was worried about the practical because it was a 70% pass mark and I failed the mock on Monday) :D!

IA: We've had about 1-2 inches of snow in the last 90 minutes and although that means no work (and no interviews) today, I have to get to Bristol this afternoon and I'm not sure how safe driving will be (with the snow and ice)  :-\\\\.

CONGRATS!  Fab news!!

UP: The thing we ordered from Amazon for our friend's baby is finally in.

IA: Since it didn't come in earlier in the week, we weren't able to give it when we all exchanged gifts, so now we need to make a special trip over there to drop it off.  And, getting a delivery from Amazon should not be a UP.  I'm annoyed that it feels that way.   >:(

Congrats, ksand!

IA: My alarm didn't go off, so I woke up at 9:30 this morning...right when I'm usually walking in the door at work.

UP: It's my last day, so I don't mind too much, and I obviously needed the sleep.

UP:  We don't have any snow, ice, nothing!

IA:  It's really cold out there.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

UP: Finally supposed to get together with a couple of good friends on Sunday afternoon

IA: We have a Nor'easter heading our way.  It's supposed to start Sunday late afternoon/early evening...and it's supposedly bringing over 6 inches of snow with it!

UP: Saw 2 flats today, and both seemed 1) pretty attractive/liveable 2) not turned off by the dog (one had a very sweet/high energy dog already who might like a playmate, one just really likes dogs)

IA: Took 7 hours to see the two flats, and I walked about 5 miles in the snow, and am now exhausted. And, of course, "seems cool" and "might be ok with the dog" are not sure things.

All of the Christmas parties, stress at work and general business have finally caught up with me and I've come down a chest cold.  :-[

However, I have to look at the bright side, as this is actually the first time I've been ill all year. Much better that the 2-3 sinus/upper respiratory infections I've averaged a year since I've moved here. Seems like moving out of a damp flat and getting used to the local germs has meant that I've managed to avoid most of the plagues that have been going around this year.

More snow!

The UP is because I really love the snow and would love to have a white Christmas.

The IA is because the road conditions are already atrocious and no one can get to the hospital to see FiL, so it's becoming a disaster.  :-\\\\ I tried to go into work yesterday, but ended up going sideways around a roundabout, so I had to come home and admit defeat.   :-X

I know everyone has been saying the same thing, I just wish the UK knew how to handle the snow better so that the roads would be clear and everyone could just get on with their lives and still enjoy the snow.  :-\\\\ :-[
