IA: Came in to work today to find that my computer had died overnight somehow. Rebooted it and it gave some ominous beeps and wouldn't start up. :(

UP: Turns out one of the (2-week-old) sticks of RAM is fried, so now with just the other stick in, it's running fine (albeit pretty slowly).

Now to see about ordering more RAM.

I got my surgery appointment letters and booklet yesterday.  :-\\\\ I feel very anxious about it. I know it shouldn't be a big deal as it's just a day surgery, but the only surgery I've had is when they removed my wisdom teeth, and that was a horrible experience.  :-X Plus it's been so busy at work that I'm nearly terrified to leave my desk for just a few hours, nevermind two weeks!  :o

On the other hand, I just want to get this over with and get well. And the break from work might be kind of nice, at any rate.  :P

Good luck Jewlz.  Just keep thinking postive thoughts that you'll feel better afterwards.   :)

Good luck Jewlz.  I'm sure it will all be fine, but that never helps the worry.  Try not to worry too much about work!

I'm sure your surgery will turn out fine Jewlz.
Congrats Weby!

UP-Received an admission letter for the 9 year old's sleep study.  Children with her condition can suffer from both central and obstructive sleep apnea.  It has been 6 years since her last study.

IA-It is on the one day that we are unable to do.  MrRed5 can't take off of work to take care of the 7 year old.  I'm due to tour a secondary school for her that has been booked for a while-and I booked both girls into the after school club for that day.  If I told the 9 year old that she couldn't attend it would be total meltdown on her part.
The hospital wasn't thrilled, and we are now looking at April for the next appointment.

UP: I am having a girls night out tonight! It's been a while so I am really looking forward to it.  Par-TAY!! ;D

IA: I work in the morning so I either have to come home early (not gonna happen although I will try  ;)) or suffer with no sleep/hangover on Saturday!

You'd have to be a total vegetable not to feel anxious about something like this, Jewlz. So just try to take a deep breath and relax. Hopefully you'll get lots of nice pampering so just look forward to that!

UP:  The peanut noodles I made for the first time came out super yummy!  (only tasted one noodle--don't want to spoil my appetite for dinner!)

IA:  The recipe for the peanut sauce seriously made enough for an entire restaurant!  I guess I'll keep the rest in the fridge to use as a dipping sauce, etc. throughout the week.

UP: We have a new trombone player in the swing band and she's really good. Even after a 10 year hiatus for her, she's really good.  Wailing on the high notes, can read all the clefs with ease, sight reads flawlessly.  She's gonna definitely, obviously,be the lead player now.

IA: Points out just how rubbish I am. :-[  Time for more practice.  :-\\\\

Sometimes that's just the kick in the but ya need to get back to where you were 'chops'-wise.  I'm sorta going through that right now.  Instead of getting jealous, I just "get even"!  All good motivation and healthy competition to be the best I can be!

UP: Have dropped off my pup with the lovely Legs Akimbo (and Mr LA) to dogsit him while I'm in the states. This means I don't have to go over tomorrow, and LA and I can both sleep in. YAY!

IA: I miss my doggie. :( Also, I still have to pack, and am now pretty much out of excuses not to.
