UP: DH is doing his scuba diving course, and he is LOVING it! He comes home so excited every time, and is just generally really perky ever since he started. It's nice to see him enjoying it so much. :)

IA: He's doing a speedy course, which means he's gone 2 nights a week and doesn't get home til I'm in bed. I miss him on Mondays and Wednesdays!
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

IA: The weather has made it a little difficult for me to get to the gym (They don't grit or ice my neighborhood and I'm at the bottom of a steep hill!  :-\\\\)

UP: It IS clearing up though and after some attempts I was able to make it to work today and will be able to go to the gym for my Zumba class later! YAY!!

IA: Packed up my things this morning. No matter which way you slice it, I hate hate hate packing. There's a lot of things I have to leave behind, like my pots that I love so much. I've got 2 suitcases, a carry-on, and a little carry-on to fit everything into. Trying not to think about it.  :-\\\\

UP: I thinned out my wardrobe by about 40%, which is something I should have done ages ago. Left plenty of room for my pretty art books!  :)

Aww! I bet your better than you think!  :) I don't go to a big crazy class, just a small one at the gym that adjusts it's level of intensity for everyone. So it's not soo bad (I had a hard time with really intense movements with my left knee, so I can't go to the wild and crazy classes because it hurts too much!) I'm impressed at the diversity we have there!

IA: Trying to freak'n pay student loans from the US while in the UK! It's making me crazy this week! We used Travelex to get money to my mom because Sallie Mae and ACS won't take a payment straight from us and now the Travelex site is down and I'm having difficulties finding a site that will do it for as cheap as Travelex did!

UP: Hubby is home a day early and is helping find a cheap transfer company while I work. Hopefully when I get home, we can start a romantic anniversary weekend together!  :)

UP: I have finally found the perfect fitting bra. I swear it was made just to fit me.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

IA: The material it is made from is itchy.  ::)

UP: My mom's coming to visit us (and her aunt) next weekend. :) She's been saying she'd come since I moved over 2 years ago. ;)

IA: It's the same weekend we're off to Rome, so we'll only get a day with her. (Granted, she's only here for 2 1/2 days, so we're not missing tons of time.)

UP: She can stay in the flat and shove pills at the cat, negating the need for a cat-sitter. :)

IA: Just wrote out my weekly work to do list.  It's very long.  Not enough of me to go around. Stressful.  Worried.  [smiley=freak.gif] [smiley=end.gif] [smiley=furious3.gif] [smiley=help.gif] [smiley=mad.gif] [smiley=shout.gif]

UP: It's a 3 day week only and I can at least forget about work during my long weekend away!  And hoping to meet some lovely people  :-*

UP: We found a nice flat to move to once our lease is up, and our landlady agreed to let us stay an extra month until we move.

IA: She's still wigging out about how "appalled" she was at the state of the flat in November, and how there's "no chance" it would be rentable in that state. So now we get to have the flat professionally cleaned twice - once for viewings and once when we move out.

UP: The landlord for the new flat lives in Hong Kong, so no chance of him stopping by unannounced to be appalled at the state of the place.

It amazes me the difference in landlords. When we moved into our last place, the walls had been painted, but the carpet was so dirty our socks would get black after walking around all day, the oven was nasty, the bathroom and kitchen had to be cleaned, etc. We left it clean when we moved out. Then there is yours who is 'appalled' over daily living. Hooray for the new landlord living too far away to drop in unannounced.  ;D

Today on the phone she insisted that the state it was in (i.e. daily living with pets, but recently cleaned by us) was "nowhere near" the condition it was when I moved in. (Not sure how she would know this, given that she lives out of town and her brother's the one who did the move-out/move-in inspection, and he's not exactly the white glove type.) I saw the previous tenants cleaning pre-move-out and the place was clean, but not miles above the condition we had it in when she saw it (aside from the dog hair which is a constant battle).

Just happy she's fine with us staying an extra month, since that means we can secure the new place. And here's hoping the new landlord/letting agency will be sane. If the cost of that is another professional cleaning, so be it.
