My wifes application is at BD56 now...

Recieved documents email was dated the 15th Feb.

She is applying to join me straight from the US and our application is unbelievably straightforward, regardless of what angle you would scrutinise it from.

We are trying not to worry - I think we may just be in a slow period.

Chin up Laura, stay positive.

I wonder if all this windrush drama would slow things?

For our last application (refusal), we got the not straightforward email on 2/7 then the decision email on 2/20. 10 BD later. Some get the decision email a couple of days later, some take forever........

So unfortunately these automated emails are not good indicators on the progress of your application. It just basically means sorry we’re too busy and can’t meet our deadline

What a long wait!  [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] Congrats- I'm sure you two will be thrilled to be together!

My wife spent all day yesterday being very anxious - at some point I received a text message: ..."My anxiety is through the roof!"   ;D Classic! Luckily, just before 6pm PDT, the UPS delivery man put her out her misery and, lo and behold, the visa has been approved. So, she is coming home, to Surrey England,  in two weeks time :).

Thank you, all members of this forum, for advice, guidance and most importantly morale support. And I wish that all those who are still awaiting feedback from Sheffield (e.g., Laura, Woo's wife and many other) get positive feedback very soon.

God bless

Ok...

Apologies if this is an incoherent post...

Bank holiday weekend sunny sunday alcohol soaked celebrations were in order!

My wife randomly recieved her passport and visa today. Decision made email was on the 27th April, but dissapeared into her spam folder.

15th Feb docs recieved, 27th April decision = 50 BD total.

Thanks for the kind words and support through all of this.

Lovr you all x

Yes, let's hope they all come back on Tuesday from their sunny bank holiday, full of energy and effervescence! Congratulations to everyone who had good news, too! I had to move out of my apartment on March 17th. I am lucky to have my wonderful brother who has had to put up with little sister's mood swings for the last seven weeks.  :o

Anyone else feel like today is a fake Monday? All the annoyance of a workday for me in the US but no further business days added to my counter!

Hopefully the ECOs will be well-rested from the weekend and ready to get to work this week :)
